Cindy Miller, RN, MSW, LCSW
Working with patients; helping them to meet optimal physical and/or emotional wellness has been one of the
greatest gifts in my life. It is an honor and a privilege, and a lesson in humility, to have patients entrust
me with their story. The relationship that develops between us is steeped in respect, compassion, and a genuine
positive regard for one another. The integrity and sanctity of this relationship is what cultivates change,
and provides for renewed balance in your life. I respect the strength and courage that it takes to share your
vulnerabilities in therapy. Time and again, I am amazed and humbled at the resiliency of the human spirit.
Many times there are both emotional
and physical health concerns that need to be addressed. I have the privilege of working with patients as both a registered nurse and a therapist. Being in the health care field for over 30 years, has afforded me the opportunity to work with a variety of physical and mental health conditions, including, but not limited to, chronic pain/illness, aging, mood disorders, anxiety disorders,
OCD, ADD/ADHD, eating disorders, addictions, and various self-injurious behaviors. My experience as a nurse and
as a therapist allows me to look at the patient as a whole; as all aspects of wellness are interconnected. At times, one's emotional state is influencing a physical illness, and at other times, it is the physical illness, that is causing the emotional distress.
My work in physical and mental health has afforded me the ability to accurately diagnose illnesses, and make the
appropriate treatment recommendations. I am familiar with the role of other health care providers, and believe
that all persons involved in your care, should be collaborating together as a team. I am versed in medications,
their intended use/dose/frequency, as well as the desired therapeutic effect. Email Me
